About

7:36 Pool Dive refers to a series of memes parodying a part of the "Morning Routine" video from fitness and lifestyle coach Ashton Hall in which the influencer takes a dive into a pool, with the start of the dive timestamped 7:36 a.m. and the moment of him entering the water timestamped 7:40 a.m. The editing error became a subject of jokes while the image of Hall diving has been used as an exploitable meme after it went viral in late March 2025.

Origin

On February 7th, 2025, fitness influencer Ashton Hall posted a timestamped Instagram[1] video showing his early morning routine to his followers. At one point in the video, Hall goes for a swim at his apartment complex pool. The moment Hall starts the dive is timestamped at 7:36 a.m., however, the moment he lands into the water is incorrectly timestamped at 7:40 a.m., giving the wrong impression that his dive lasted for four minutes despite only lasting a second in the video.

On March 20th, 2025, the X[2] account @tipsformenx reuploaded the video, which would go viral in the following days as the Ashton Hall Morning Routine meme. The upload (shown below, dive happens at the 0:54 mark) garnered over 668 million views, 70,000 reposts and 191,000 likes in three days.

Spread

On March 21st, 2025, X[3] user @freelancegoon posted a still image of Ashton Hall mid-dive with the caption "7:36" in the middle. The post (shown below) received over 12,000 reposts and 278,000 likes in two days.
