Bad Little Red Riding Hood is a reaction image used in a series of memes based on a piece of art by DeviantArt user HectorLobo, which shows Little Red Riding Hood from the fairy tale smirking and zipping up her pants while walking away from the Big Bad Wolf, who is crying in the background, presumably after she had sex with the wolf. The art was posted to DeviantArt on May 9th, 2014, and was popularized as a meme over the following years, becoming notably prevalent in 2025. The meme is often used as an image macro or reaction with a text caption.

Origin

On May 9th, 2014, DeviantArt[1] user HectorLobo posted a piece of art titled "Mala caperucita roja," translating to "Bad Little Red Riding Hood." The art shows the fairy tale character Little Red Riding Hood zipping up her pants and walking away from a crying Big Bad Wolf, presumably after forcibly having sex with the wolf. The art gained around 8,200 views and 25 favorites in 11 years.

On May 12th, 2018, a now-deleted Redditor posted a meme by an unknown creator using the art under the caption, "Men are innocent creatures in a world full of perverse women who violate them" to the /r/JustNeckbeardThings[2] subreddit, garnering over 11,000 upvotes in seven years.

On October 21st, 2024, the original image was posted to the /r/blursedimages[3] subreddit, garnering over 2,700 upvotes in a year.

On October 21st, 2025, Instagram[4] user sigma_male_daily reposted the "men are innocent creatures" meme to over 89,000 likes in two weeks.

On October 28th, X[5] user @Arty_nah posted the original image under the caption, "bao vtuber," referencing the VTuber Bao, garnering over 4,900 likes in roughly a week.

That same day, X[6] user @SaintJx2 quoted a post sharing the meme, which was a quote to another now-deleted post, writing, "What an absolutely insane image lmao," garnering over 357,000 likes and 14,000 reposts in a week.
