About
Fairs, also used as a hashtag with #fairs and also known as Fairs Meme 👌, refers to a British slang term that began spreading across TikTok in 2025, eventually gaining virality in memes in mid-2026. The term was initially associated with comedy legend Rodney Dangerfield in late 2025 before coming to be associated with the YBG Wallace meme and the OK Symbol 👌 in June 2026.
Origin
"Fairs" is a U.K. slang term that acts as an informal abbreviation of phrases like "fair enough" or "fair's fair." It is commonly used to acknowledge someone's point, accept an explanation or concede that another person's argument is reasonable.[1]
In 2025, fairs as a catchphrase and wider internet slang term came to be associated with prominent comedian Rodney Dangerfield, likely due to his use of the OK Symbol, which is also associated with the term and British youth culture (see Cheeky Nandos for reference) and an iconic line[2] in the 1980 comedy film Caddyshack in which Dangerfield's character bribes the referee, imploring him to "keep it fair."
On November 6th, 2025, TikTok[3] user @stanclickinfeed posted an AI-generated video of Dangerfield rapping, which received over 172,500 views and 18,600 likes in about seven months.

Similarly, on November 12th, 2025, TikTok[4] user @nathalanreet posted a clip of an old Dangerfield monologue, referring to him as "Rodney 'Fairs' Dangerfield." The video received about 77,100 views and 11,100 likes in a similar timeframe.

Spread
On March 28th, 2026, TikTok[5] user @itsagzz posted a video in which he accurately predicted the emerging popularity of the slang term beyond its original U.K. boundaries. The video received over 610,700 views and 77,400 likes in about two and a half months.
@itsagzz New slang update!!!!
In May and June 2026, the Ma Got Pranked or YBG Wallace meme, which consists of image macros, based on an AI-generated image of Wallace from Wallace and Gromit with a fade and an N95 mask giving an OK symbol with his right hand, began proliferating on the platform. YBG, in this case, means either "young, Black and gifted" or "Young, British and gifted."
The term's U.K. origins, the use of the OK symbol and the decidedly British orientation of Wallace and Gromit resulted in a natural convergence between the slang term, gesture and image macro meme. Many of the "fairs" videos posted in mid-2026 utilize the song "Honesty (Jersey Club Remix)" by Pink Sweat$ & JIDDY.
On June 16th, 2026, TikTok[6] user @yowheredidjogo posted a video of himself jokingly posing for various "fairs" stickers for use. The video received over 1.1 million views and 100,700 likes in about two days.
