Though searching "Explosion cutaway" on the internet; whether it be through Google, Youtube, or even Know Your Meme itself, gets you quite a bit of content, it may not be the specific one you are looking for, infact, it took quite a bit of searching to even find the one i was looking for. The Exploding woodstove cutaway meme, i, along with many other users i presume, find it very recognizable despite the fact that there is little documentation on it at all.

Initially, i had found what i believed to be the first occurrence of the original meme

Though, what left me felt unsatisfied was that the video had the same "feeling" that all of the memes using it did… what i think of as the "funny cutoff". It didnt take me incredibly long to find the actual original video after that.

Uploaded by Youtube user "LynnJagers" on Apr 4, 2022, was the original video (or at the very least the most accurate reuploading) "woodstove explodes".

The video consists of two German speaking people sitting far away from a wood stove, what led to the explosion is not exactly clear, and though it created a large fireball with orange sparks streaming across the room, it seems that the people behind the camera do not seem that alarmed after the fact.

Before the explosion, the person holding the camera says "That was the calm before the storm", suggesting that there may have been a smaller event just before the recording began. After the explosion, the cameraman swears in response while his presumed friend in the background laughs.
