The Gojo Figure Incident refers to a viral video in which TikToker Azzy (@azulliee_) covers a figurine of Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen in her menstrual blood by wringing out a used tampon over the figure. The shock video was uploaded in mid-January 2024 and captioned "Gojo after Toji jumped him colorized" and became the subject of memes and reactions over the following days, with many expressing shock and disgust over the video, earning it the name "The Gojo Figure Incident." The TikToker's account was deleted and the video was removed following its virality, although they purportedly opened a new account and reuploaded the video a few days later.

Origin

On January 19th, 2024, now-deleted TikToker^[1] @azulliee_ posted a video of herself wringing a used tampon out overtop of a figure of Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen then hanging the tampon over his extended arm, the description reading, "Gojo after Toji jumped him colorized," garnering an unknown number of views before it was removed. The video was reuploaded by X^[2] user @NervilleNorman that day, writing, "This is the gojo figure incident that everyone is talking about btw," garnering over 1,200 likes in four days.

Spread

The video became the subject of reactions and memes online. On January 20th, 2024, TikToker^[3] @xcolves posted a video reacting to it, garnering over 2.5 million views in three days (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker^[4] @nateqt1.0 posted a video about the incident, garnering over 2.2 million views in three days (shown below, right). The video also inspired reactions on X.^[5][6]

On January 21st, TikToker^[7] @abizarre_bacone posted a Roblox fan animation referencing the video, garnering over 1.2 million views in two days (shown below, left). On January 22nd, TikToker^[8] @azulliee___ opened an account and reuploaded the incident video, along with a video sharing the "ban" notice, writing, "you cant kill me." This is thought to be Azzy's new account, although it is unconfirmed.

On January 24th, TikToker^[9] @pinksugarsnowflake posted a bait-and-switch photo where it appears as if she's going to give a tutorial on how to recreate the video, but instead throws out a fake tampon and washes her hands, garnering over a million views in a day (shown below, right).
