The repost includes a roughly minute-long song parodying the cadence of Black's singing voice and style, in which he sings about being in Minecraft and playing Steve, garnering over 4,700 likes in four months (shown below). The parody is set to the Minecraft soundtrack song "Wet Hands" by C418.^[2]

The song gained viral spread over the following months. On March 5th, 2024, TikToker^[3] @katwithguns reposted it, garnering over 1.2 million views in four months. On April 1st, YouTuber^[4] Kahuut posted an animation based on the song, garnering over 181,000 views in three months (shown below).

In July 2024, the song was further popularized on TikTok as the subject of memes. For example, on July 28th, TikTokers^[5][6] @becausewhynot248 and @unhinged.v2 posted memes using the song that gained over 1.5 million and 2.1 million views, respectively, in three days (shown below, left and right).

On July 30th, TikToker^[7] @juuls_xart posted a video in which they drew pictures to represent some of the lyrics of the song, garnering over 780,000 views in a day (shown below).
