About
If You Log Out, It's Still 2007 is a viral YouTube video by content creator Emilymarie about growing up during the 2000s and witnessing the rapid evolution of the internet, discussing how it affected her mental health and development. The video was posted in early September 2026, and a screenshot of the video's thumbnail and title went viral on X / Twitter later that month.
The post inspired discourse and memes about the concept of the title, which seems to claim that if you stop using the internet, the world still feels like it did in 2007. Some refuted this idea, including through jokes and memes about things that would not seem like 2007 if you logged out. Some of the most viral responses included controversial remarks sharing negative opinions on immigration.
