Keep On Dreaming… Denji refers to the last words said by the Chainsaw Man character Pochita to Denji before he devoured himself in the manga series, specifically chapter 231, which was released in mid-March 2026. The chapter gained virality in mid-to-late March 2026 as artists used it as a redraw reference in memes to drawing other characters in place of the original panels, also replacing the text and using the phrasal template "Keep On Dreaming X."

On March 10th, 2026, chapter 231 of the Chainsaw Man manga series, titled "Goodbye, Pochita," was released.^[1] In the chapter, Pochita devours himself into the Chainsaw Devil form. But before that, he throws up a peace sign and tells Denji to "keep dreaming" even after Pochita didn't exist anymore.

The chapter gained popularity online in the days following the release, with discussions and redraws referencing the panel before Pochita devours himself spreading among the fandom.

For example, on March 10th, 2026, Redditor JeanneDAlter uploaded a megathread for discussing the chapter to the /r/ChainsawMan^[2] subreddit, where many referenced the panel from the manga.

On March 16th, 2026, artist Khyleri uploaded the earliest known redraw of the scene to their Twitter / X^[3] account, depicting an Attack on Titan fan art using the panel as reference. The post received more than 154,000 likes in three days.

Spread

Redraws and recreations of the Keep On Dreaming Denji panels from the Chainsaw Man manga continued spreading as additional memes using it appeared online in mid-to-late March 2026.

On March 17th, 2026, Twitter / X^[4] user @reiquant uploaded an artwork using the panel as a reference for a Look Back redraw. The post received more than 38,000 likes in two days.

The next day, Twitter / X^[5] user @MossCos78353 uploaded a Five Nights at Freddy's fan art using the panel as reference. The post received more than 10,000 likes in one day.
