"Kill it with Fire" is a popular expression used on the Internet to convey extreme disgust with something a person has posted or linked, similar to Nuke it from Orbit.
Origin
On May 11th, 2006, the phrase was added to Urban Dictionary by user TopTomCat.[3]
Spread
The quote has long been used in comments sections to express extreme distaste for something. For example, on June 29th, 2007, a commenter in the local British news website The Register[1] used it in response to an article about furries (shown below).
The quote is usually used as a forum weapon to convey that person's disgust with something that they wish to unsee This is often expressed via various image macros and demotivational posters usually depicting people shooting flamethrowers or other weapons. The quote has been applied to several GIFs of pop culture characters shooting fire (examples shown below).
