About

Me to Le ICE, often stylized, me to ✨le ice✨, is a catchphrase originally used alongside a reaction image of Charlie from Hazbin Hotel giving the middle finger. The comment is meant to criticize U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over their perceived brutality and general presence in America. The phrase was popularized on sites including TikTok and X / Twitter in February 2026 alongside the similarly used phrase, "I prefer my ICE… crushed." Both phrases were criticized for turning ICE deportations, violence and the struggles of ICE victims into a joke, inspiring parody memes.

Origin

On February 1st, 2026, TikToker[1] @zeppelindude posted a video edit consisting of several comments referring to unknown videos relating to ICE's presence in the U.S., captioned, "Imagine your family getting brutally slimed out & deported by ICE and this is what people have to say about it." One of the comments reads, "me to ✨le ice✨" alongside an image of Hazbin Hotel character Charlie giving the middle finger. The video gained over 1.1 million views in three weeks.

Spread

The catchphrase spread over the following weeks as a way of making fun of the comment and similar comments that turn the discourse around ICE into a joke.

On February 2nd, 2026, TikToker[2] @zyple1 posted a Speed Watches meme captioned, "When my family gets brutally murdered by ICE but it's okay because people on TikTok prefer their ice crushed," writing, "me to ✨le ice✨" in the video's description, garnering over 58,000 views in three weeks.
