The song was released on TikTok in mid-November 2025 and became notably popularized as an original sound over the following weeks, with a second original sound consisting of the song gaining similar virality that December. The song is often used over Christmas-themed dance and meme videos.

On November 15th, 2025, TikToker[1] and DJ @noteliwood posted a video in which he mashes up the Drake song "Money In the Grave" and the Wham! song "Last Christmas," garnering over 3.6 million views in three weeks.
