Peanut Or Done refers to a moment and viral video by Gaming YouTuber Kubz Scouts asking if "Peanut" or "Done" is the name of a dog in a short indie game on itch.io The video was uploaded in October 2021 and started to become the subject of memes in the Kubz Scouts community in 2023.

Origin

On October 22nd, 2021, YouTuber^[1] Kubz Scouts posted a video of him playing Free Random Games which is a series about Jay finding three free random games, and plays them in one video. Jay played a short game on itch.io called Death Of A Pet. in the video, The game tells him to give the dog a name, Jay gets confused as he thinks the word "Done" is also the name of the dog, then understands that "Peanut" is the name of the dog and not "Done" The video gained over 1.5 million views in less then 4 years (shown below).

The video clip of Jay's reaction became a meme during 2023 and 2024, On August 23rd 2023, TikToker ^[2]
@yt_meme posted a clip of the video with text saying "Me when I get back to school:" The TikTok video received over 8,100,000 views and over 1,200,000 likes in 2 years. (Shown below.)

The next day on August 24th, 2023, YouTuber^[3] fluffpielmaogame posted the template of the clip, the video has gained 65,201 views in 2 years (shown below).

On August 15th, 2025, Kubz Scouts referenced the clip in a video, telling the audience what he's going to name a pig saying 'Don't tell me Peanut or Done!', the video gained over 401,500 views in over 3 months, (shown below).
