About
Show? No This Is For Your Own Good is a reaction image consisting of a screenshot of a TikTok comment section in which user "animeguy066" asks what TV show is being shown in the video and the video creator, @harlskeener, responds, "no" and "this is for your own good." The comment was originally made on April 11th, 2022 and the screenshot became the subject of memes on sites like X / Twitter and Reddit that month, becoming increasingly popular over the following years. The comment by @harlskeener is meant to suggest that the show being asked for is emotionally distressing and it's better that animeguy066 doesn't watch it.
Origin
On April 11th, 2022, TikToker[1] @harlskeener posted a shipping video compiling footage of Evan "Buck" Buckley and Eddie Diaz from the Fox television series 9-1-1. That day, TikToker animeguy066 commented, "Show?" The creator of the video responded, "no" and "this is for your own good," the implication being that the show is too emotionally distressing to recommend.
