About

SpongeBob Driving Crazy is a reaction image meme based on a SpongeBob SquarePants comic book cover inspired by Ed Roth's Rat Fink hot rod art showing SpongeBob driving a boat with his tongue out and his eyes bulging from his head while Mrs. Puff holds onto the back of the engine. The comic was released in April 2011.

The image was popularized as a meme throughout late 2025 and early 2026, including as a spam reaction image in TikTok comment sections. Some prominent examples of the meme as an image macro include a version captioned, "200 pounds horse meat," and a version captioned, "The typa shi mfs put on the cover of extremely sour candy."

Origin

On April 13th, 2011, SpongeBob Comics issue two, titled "Caution: Student Boater," was released.[1] The cover features artwork inspired by Ed Roth, known for his Rat Fink hot rod art.
