Oglaf is an adult-oriented comedic webcomic that takes place in a fantasy realm and in which characters go on sexually explicit adventures.

History

On July 26th, 2008, the first installment of Oglaf debuted online.^[1] The comic "Cumsprite" features an anthropomorphic sperm escaping the character Ivan and splashing on a female character known as "The Mistress."^[2]

On January 24th, 2017, Oglaf Book One, a collection of many of the Oglaf comics was released.^[5]

Reception

On December 15th, 2013, NJ.com^[3] named Oglaf the "Best X-Rated Strip." They wrote:

"With no restrictions on content on the Internet, many artists have plunged directly into pornographic humor. But none have done so with the confidence (or silliness) of the shadowy Bodil Bodilson, a cartoonist of profound skill, a voracious reader of fantasy, and a possessor of a marvelously filthy mind. More than any other artist, it's Bodilson who has carried the oily torch of B. Kliban into the digital arena -- her illustrations of sex are simultaneously exciting and preposterous. It's also nice that she doesn't discriminate: straight, lesbian, gay, and human-mystic beast couplings are all shown to be equally beautiful, and equally ridiculous."

On April 26th, 2018, Comopolitan named the comic one of the 19 Best Porn Sites for Women.^[4]

Fandom

On December 7th, 2009, the official Oglaf Twitter ^[6] launched. As of May 2018, the account has more than 33,000 followers.

The following year, on December 21st, 2010, the Oglaf Wikia launched.^[8]

On Facebook, ^[7] the comic has more than 10,000 likes and followers.
