The concept of the City of Swagino was more solidified following several viral posts from the account, which prominently featured dancing mascots and began spreading on the platform. The dancing mascots, particularly those in M&M costumes, would become one of the most recognizable traits of the "city."

On April 13th, 2026, the @swagino.city TikTok^[2] account posted a video claiming to have been filmed in Swagino, in which the Yellow M&M mascot dances. The video received over 3.1 million views and 622,000 likes in about two months.

Spread

Videos featuring the M&M mascots became more prominent as Swagino memes continued growing online in April 2026, with uploads from the account amassing millions of views.

The next day, April 14th, 2026, the @swagino.city TikTok^[3] posted another video of the Yellow M&M character dancing, which received over 4.1 million views and 690,000 likes in two months.

On April 23rd, 2026, yet another Yellow M&M video^[4] was posted, accumulating over 3 million views and 416,000 likes in less than two months.

Other videos posted by the account also featured other well-known mascots. On April 27th, 2026, @swagino.city posted^[5] a video of a Minion dancing. The video received over 2.5 million views and 423,200 likes in less than two months.

Though many videos posted by the account had now gone viral, it exploded in virality following another M&M's video posted^[6] on May 28th, 2026, which amassed over 7.7 million views and 1.4 million likes in roughly three weeks.

Other TikTok users began posting their own Swagino videos, talking about the fictional city as if it were a utopia, as it spread into June 2026.

On June 1st, 2026, TikTok^[7] user @knightmarwan posted a video depicting the "saddest day" in Swagino. The post received over 200,500 views and 34,500 likes in a bit over two weeks.

On June 7th, 2026, TikTok^[8] user @bxxxxnger posted about vacationing in Swagino. The video received over 1.4 million views and 273,600 likes in about 10 days.
