About
The Medford Butcher refers to a series of ironic and satirical edits based on the sitcom Young Sheldon that began spreading on TikTok in May 2026. The trend reimagines George Cooper Sr., Sheldon's father (played by actor Lance Barber), as a fictional serial killer known as "The Medford Butcher," often depicting him murdering and cooking his family members. The videos parody both the earnest tone of Young Sheldon and the conventions of analog horror media and creepypastas, including distorted imagery, emergency broadcasts, ominous narration and graphic lore.

On May 10th, 2026, TikTok[1] user @therealpsf30 posted an analog horror parody video featuring older Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory. The video received over 5.9 million views and 859,100 likes in a month. This video served as the main inspiration for the later “Medford Butcher” series.
