After noticing that her song "Wildest Dreams" was trending on TikTok in recent days amid the rising "slow zoom" trend, Taylor Swift decided to release an updated version that is now under her control, called "Taylor's version."

The reasoning behind this is that all of Taylor Swift's older catalog was bought out so she no longer had control over her music, causing her to want to re-record her work under her own control. Swifties, as Taylor Swift's fans are known, were quick to replace the older version with the new one in their hearts, spiking her to the top of Twitter's trending section earlier today in the U.S.

The recent "slow zoom" trend in which Swift's song is used revolves around TikTokers using this feature while lip-dubbing to the track's chorus to make them feel like they're the "main character" or star of their own music video.

Swift previously let it be known that her music releases were going to happen in eras, with the current era of music re-releases being her "RED era." As "Wildest Dreams" is off her 1989 album, there are multiple people asking what era they're in alongside the trend today.
