For those who don't know, graphene is the hardest material known to man. Discovered in 2004, graphene is the strongest and thinnest material in the world, stronger than diamond, and 300x stronger than steel. It is the only monolayer substance known as well, with a sheet of graphene being only a single atom high, yet strong enough to let an elephant on a pencil try to puncture it with no success. It is also extremely flexible, elastic, and highly conductive. I find it quite hilarious that Nokia is now receiving a grant to experiment with the material. We always wondered how they made their phones indestructible.
