About

#BreastCancerFree Baits (also #CervixCancerFree and #AnalCancerFree) refer to bait videos associated with the hashtag #BreastCancerFree that gained popularity on Instagram in mid-March 2020. The trend gained traction after several popular meme accounts repeatedly posted promotional "titty drop" videos captioned with the hashtag, which protected such videos from being removed by Instagram.

Origin

Starting approximately on March 12th, 2020, several popular Instagram[1][2][3] meme accounts such as meme.salty posted "titty drop" videos promoting Instagram pages @celebs.noods, @science.funny, @doofusdanny and other accounts. The videos were accompanied by hashtag #breastcancerfree and were not removed under the Instagram policy. NSFW posts of women revealing their genitalia were also posted by some accounts, accompanied by #CervixCancerFree hashtag.

On March 13th, 2020, Instagram[4][10][11] account niepsclub posted the earliest known meme referencing the influx of such posts (shown below).

Starting on March 13th, 2020, multiple Instagram accounts posted memes that used the promotional "titty drop" videos but replaced the NSFW part of the clips with other videos. The earliest known edit was posted by Instagram[5] user lipmz on March 13th, 2020. The edit received over 2,800 views and 790 likes in one week. On March 14th, 2020, Instagram[6] user agentchodybanks.v5 posted a Black Guy Twerking edit that accumulated over 123,900 views and 15,800 likes in six days (reupload shown below).

In the following days, the parody trend gained a significant presence on Instagram, with multiple accounts posting bait edits. Notable examples of the trend include posts by agentchodybanks.v5,[7] zetaxp[8] and vrutha.[9]
