Ok, Gimme Your Password / Throw Me Some Numbers refers to a scene from the 1998 adult film "CatalinaVille"^[8] in which the protagonist Steve, a programmer, is called to deal with a deadly computer virus, resulting in him asking the caller to "throw him some numbers" and to give him a password in order to fix it.

Origin

In September of 1998, the adult film "CatalinaVille" was released in North America, starring Steve Rambo and directed by Josh Eliot. The film is about a computer programmer who gets his hands on a disk full of secretive business information and must keep it safe.

On March 4th, 2015, P. Ennis uploaded a scene from the film to YouTube^[1] titled, "ok, throw me some numbers" (shown below). In the scene, computer programmer Steve wakes up at 1:30 AM and takes a call from Richard, who tells him there's a "mother of a virus" ripping through a major company file. Steve tells Richard, "throw me some numbers" and inputs a random string of numbers and symbols on the computer. He then asks for Richard's password. Richard hesitates then tells him his password is "oral cumshot," to which Steve responds, "Oral cumshot? Yeah, that fits." The scene is notable for its humorous dialogue, amateurish acting, and representation of hacker culture. The video gained over 4.1 million views in roughly 6 years. On May 28th, 2020 The Catalina Collection uploaded an extended version of the clip to YouTube.^[4]

On October 20th, 2017, /u/PM_ME_YOUR_CHARLIES uploaded the video to /r/youtubehaiku,^[9] garnering over 2,400 upvotes in 3 years. On May 24th, 2018, kmlkmljkl uploaded a video titled, "ok, gimme your password" to YouTube^[2] (shown below). The video begins with the clip of Steve saying, "Ok, gimme your password" before cutting to a Vine of a young boy saying "pussy,"^[3] then cutting back to Steve saying, "yeah, that fits." The video gained over 1.6 million views in roughly 2 years.

On May 26th of the same year, @snackytuna posted a video to Instagram^[7] using the clip, garnering over 14,900 views in roughly 2 years (shown below).

On September 27th, 2019, Yoel uploaded a video edit to YouTube^[5] featuring the scene spliced with a Dr. DisRespect clip, garnering over 26,000 views in roughly a year (shown below, left). On August 20th, 2020, Hans Christian Memersen uploaded an animated recreation of the scene using anime characters to YouTube,^[6] garnering over 53,400 views in 5 months (shown below, right).
