Henry Kava or @moonehfun is a TikToker and TikTok e-boy who went viral in 2023 for a video of him and his three friends (including Diddybop) listening to and dancing to a Playboi Carti song. Kava then grew a cult following on the app that spread to Instagram in the following months. He went viral within fashion circles of Zoomer influencers, additionally gaining cross-platform meme attention, discourse and redraws on Twitter and elsewhere.

Online History

On December 16th, 2022, Henry Kava posted his first TikTok^[1] to @moonehfun, gaining roughly 8,800 plays and over 390 likes in seven months. Kava first went viral for a TikTok^[2] shared on December 22nd, 2022, gaining roughly 240,600 plays and 56,400 likes in seven months (shown below). Around the same time, on January 1st, 2023, Kava posted the first still-accessible photo to his Instagram,^[3] gaining roughly 1,100 likes in six months.

Kava didn't receive a video with over 1 million plays until a TikTok^[4] uploaded on March 6th, 2023, which received 1.1 million plays and 263,300 likes in four months (shown below, left). Two months later, on May 6th, 2023, Kava posted a TikToker^[5] that featured him, Diddybop and two other friends posing with a Playboi Carti song, gaining roughly 2.9 million plays and 329,400 likes in two months (shown below, right).

Reaction

The aforementioned TikTok^[5] posted by Kava on May 6th, 2023, received cross-platform attention when it was reposted by the Twitter^[6] account @therealugs on May 8th, 2023, who captioned it, "A video of Playboi Carti fans has gone viral," gaining roughly 49,100 likes in two months (shown below).

The video gained viral reactions on Twitter, such as a QRT sent by Twitter^[7] user @haneswhitetee that read, "what if I told you these are some of the greatest minds the world has ever seen," gaining roughy 18,000 likes in two months.

On June 21st, 2023, Diddybop posted a photo to his Instagram^[8] account @1freediddybop that showed him, Kava and two friends wearing graphic t-shirts with "gay," "abortion," "slut" and "big dick" written on them, gaining roughly 17,800 likes in one month (shown below, left). The photo then gained viral usage in memes on Twitter.^[9][10] On July 12th, 2023, Twitter^[11] user @femcelligence tweeted a screenshot of Kava's TikTok videos, writing, "Bro is making the same face every damn video," gaining roughly 1,500 likes in nine days. However, the tweet gained much of its attention from a viral QRT posted by Twitter^[12] user @fasanomadeit on July 13th, who said, "prolly cause that’s his face retarded ass nigga," gaining roughly 85,400 likes in eight days (shown below, right).

On June 2nd, 2023, Kava posted a vlog-style video to YouTube^[13] called "Henry Kava and Friends" that received roughly 93,000 views and 4,800 likes in one month (shown below).
