Poker Face is a series of four-panel Rage Comic strips featuring a stick figure with an expressionless face. These cartoons illustrate embarrassing moments.

Origin

Though reportedly first seen in on the 4chan imageboard /b/. However, the earliest available version of the meme appeared on Reddit on May 29th, 2010. That day, an anonymous Redditor posted a variation on the /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu^[1] that received more than 460 points (90% upvoted) and 75 comments in less than 11 years (shown below).

Spread

The format continued to spread throughout 2010. The following day, on May 30th, 2010, FunnyJunk^[2] user ricanweekend posted a version in which a stick figure catches the main character dancing in public (shown below, left).

The meme continued to spread over the next few years. On June 20th, 2011, an anonymous 9gag^[4] user shared a variation that received more than 1,900 points in less than 10 years (shown below, center). For example, on April 1st, 2012, Memedroid^[3] user issax shared a Spanish-language of the meme (shown below, right).
