Notes:

The EU had a three month transition period to allow the closing of pre-existing contracts with Russia before full sanction compliance was enforced.

Because of this, Lithuania has now banned the transport of sanctioned items between Kaliningrad and Russia from passing through it's territory; meaning that it all now has to be transported by boat, as Russian planes aren't allowed in EU airspace.

Russia did not like this and has said that it's response would not be diplomatic and would cause great trouble to the people of Lithuania.

The Lithuanian Prime Minister, Ingrida Simonyte, believes this will most likely be disconnection of the parts electricity grid shared between them and Russia; as any military intervention would be an activation of NATO's Article 5, bring every member into direct confrontation of Russia instead of it's current indirect form.
