It's a pity that the thread itself became a hot mess very quickly as the Pro-Russians were very upset about Russian soldiers filming themselves eating canned dog meat that they got from the North Koreans, because there's some decent discussions about some of the practical points a scooter can bring.

The long and short of it was that it's not a bad thing to have in an urban area with good roads and easy access to a way to recharge it's battery, as it lets a solider carry their gear and travel at a decent pace fairly quietly and cheaply. However, being used out in the middle of nowhere in Ukraine at the start of mud season is the worst possible time to try and use them and they would be better off using their now standard dirt bikes or going on foot instead.
