↑ ED r/NintendoSwitch ⚫ 8 yr. ago Space-Jawa Letting Rayman die repeatedly is surprisingly good at reliving frustration Discussion Since I got Rayman Legends last week, I've discovered that there are some particularly frustrating levels within. Especially some of the advancing wall of doom levels. 日 ⠀ I was having particular difficulty with the "Save Olympia" level today, which was especially difficult in that it's an 'advancing floor of doom' with a lot of running up walls, sections that feel like they require near pin-point accuracy to pull off, a very small window of error that doesn't let you go back down at all, and a control scheme that at times felt like it didn't even work right. I did eventually willpower my way through it, but given how frustrating trying to get through it was, it was the kind of level where breaks were required, where I had to step away and take a breather doing something else for a bit. And maybe it's because I discovered there's actually ranks in Rayman Legends for how many times you've died, but I didn't even pause. I just let Rayman sit there, let the level start, let the floor kill him, and then restart right at the same checkpoint he did only seconds before. Because with no lives, no consequence for dying that close to a checkpoint, I found it surprisingly relaxing to just let him sit there, let the game run, and let the Legends kill Rayman for a while rather than my bad gameplay until I was ready to give it another go around.
