About
Never Ask a White Supremacist the Race of His Girlfriend is a copypasta relating to white supremacists having spouses that are non-white. The statement, becoming a catchphrase on social media in the 2020s, started to be used as a QRT on images of mixed race couples with the implication that the white male in the image was a white supremacist, as well as seeing use in object-labeling memes to show the phrase visually.
Origin
On June 19th, 2022, Funnyjunk user swellguykhan[1] uploaded an image from the anime Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water in which the ginger protagonist is shown to have a darker skinned female companion. The meme, receiving over 720 thumbs in two years, was quickly spread across social media in the following weeks (shown below). This is the earliest known example of the meme and catchphrase being used.
Spread
The phrase saw a notable spread on social media in mid-2022, with it rapidly spreading across Twitter and Facebook. On August 6th, 2022, X / Twitter user @0perationZer0[2] uploaded a video of Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid explaining the point of the meme to Solid Snake as a replacement for the game's villain monologue (shown below).

In late 2022 the phrase started to be used on Twitter / X as a catchphrase to add onto an existing image for further context. For example, on November 13th, 2022, X user @Rattums1[3] uploaded an image of Jeremy Renner and Gabrielle Union in the film Neo Ned in which the characters are dating despite Renner's character being a devout white supremacist, with the phrase being used as the caption (shown below).
