Cyberpunk 2077 - Cyberpunk 2020's rulebook from 1994

This one game developer in the 90's: "We'll live in a dystopian society starving for reductionist labels and social identities, and the very fabric of civilization will suffer from our neverending pursue of quick mental gratification via a manufactured sense of belonging over actual, valuable quality of life improvements, and in the end, everyone, even people not wanting anything to do with it, will be more miserable because of it. Oh, and this will all happen exactly around the year 2020 by the way."

What I like this the most is that it doesn't specifically blame things on diversity
itself, but in pointlessly competitive diversity. The problem is not being allowed to be different, but demanding special treatment for it.
