Is it bad that the 1993 version scares me more?

I agree, the ones on the bottom just look like weird corpses.

The ones on the top are a good start for an unsettling face, the bulging eyes, inhumanly smooth and glossy skin and their large stretched gaping mouths twisted into pained smiles as they're all being fused together in eternal torment all make them hideous and concerning to look at.

The ones on the bottom are normal and mundane by comparison.
