Yep….. That ending was bullshit.
I've heard that it was suppoused to be a satire of how Gainax did their endings (this show being made by former workers of Gainax and such) but it's like Yahtzee said; "if you smear your face with shit even if you do it ironically, your face is still going to smell like ass"
