It might've prevented the hate and claims of transphobia But as long as I see people spreading kindness, then I'm happy Those who are using DWH to spread transphobia, please stop. This is the point it has gotten No one has ever denied that transphobia exists. Do those of you attacking the notion of casting off hatred really think any of us are totally okay with how many deaths there have been in the trans community just within the past year?? Especially to people that grew up in a time where the LGBTA community first started becoming a big presence in our culture, it's honestly devastating to hear about, because you feel like you've been deceived about every positive stride that's been made. Like, you honestly have to be a truly heartless monster to not feel some sort of pain when you hear about people being killed just for who they know they are. Our brains are who we really are-the rest is just meat and chemicals that can be changed and rearranged accordingly. Trying to get this through to people in our society is still a problem. We're also well aware that cisphobia hasn't caused any deaths (at least, not that anyone's aware of). However, is this really how you want to represent your cause? Is this really how the LGBTA community should be represented? By hatred? By becoming a student of the same conduct that people have used to harm you? Because some of us in it would beg to differ. If this is how you react to the idea of not spreading exactly the same kind of hatred you claim to be against, you need to stop and reevaluate your life, your values, and if equality is really what you stand for. Here's a thing that happened to one of my friends. I was there. Basically, we were walking down the sidewalk, talking about something meaningless. I think it had to do with a movie. Then this bus screeches up, stops next to us, and a bunch of people with "Down with Cis" shirts climbed out and started beating him up. I was punched and kicked a bit too, but I managed to avoid brutalization by going for their faces. After figuring out what's happening, I started attacking them back, getting them off of him. He was quite injured but I called 911 and he made a full recovery at the hospital. I was fine, with only a cut on my arm that they patched up.
