She was only 33 years old, and she was an astoundingly beautiful young woman that never got to see that beauty for herself. Everyone she ever knew abused her. She was never allowed to see her real father until she was an adult. The man her mother remarried made her life a living hell. She became bulimic. She became alcoholic. She abused drugs. She caught hepatitis C from shooting up heroine with a dirty needle. She even spent time living on the streets. Then one night while taking a nap, her heart finally gave up on her. She lived with us many times, and in many ways, she was even more of a sister to me than my biological sister. You know what, though? No matter how many friends stole her jewelry, no matter how many "boyfriends" beat the s--- out of her, no matter what she went through-she always managed to smile. She never held it against them. So basically it's a satire of an exaggerated tale of cisphobia. But said tale is so exaggerated and obviously fake.... mean, sure, Einstein said the power of human stupidity is the only infinite force in the universe, so of course some folks believed it. But how can these people expect everyone to be in on this supposedly satirical meme? If you're gonna view me as a god, view me as a god for everything else about me, 'cause, as we all know, I'm f------ flawless Basically, treat everyone the same, y'know? Show folks respect and kindness regardless of how they identify. No one is better or worse than anyone else because of things beyond their control, like gender, race, or sexuality.
