There are new demons in the 21st century, but the same old tools are used to hunt them down rumour, hearsay, whispers in the dark, promotion of irrational fear, and the doozy, the mass spurious complaint mob that equates any kind of dissent to r--- That Twitter listens to these mobs, swallows their claims as gospel, does NOTHING to investigate their veracity and purges contrarian accounts without even blinking means it is a service that no longer has any ethics, concerns for speech, credibility or interest in reality and no user can ever trust it to do the right thing ever again. The professional victims have won another silent coup. When the lynch mob targets you, you are purged. No argument, no appeal This would likely even disturb Joe McCarthy were he still alive to witness it. This is how the internet dies not via despotic governments, but at the hands of well intentioned "concerned citizens" who represent nothing other than their self-serving ideological nonsense. 0^ Reply

DiGRA and the US airforce.

From what I gather, a DiGRA project aims to create a video game, which teaches people to identify common biases (oh the irony) in decision making. It is being funded with 8.7$ mio by the US airforce.
*Not trying to go full tinfoil here.* Maybe it's just a teaching tool for airforce pilots, but it's nevertheless ironic that DiGRA of all people are teaching people about confirmation bias.

Their board of directors are made up nearly entirely (2 exceptions?) of radic al feminists. Much of their research papers cite people like Andrea Dworkins as sources At heart I can see the good intent of an organization set up to try and find ways to effectively teach young kids. But much of their research going through a couple dozen papers (I participated in digging DiGRA) delves into finding methods to effectively imprint beliefs on to impressionable people. These same people openly talk about radic al feminists as pioneers of social rights and sciences l've spent endless hours reading through their papers. And no matter how I cut it, at the end of it all, all I can see is endless research into trying to instill the most extremist parts of tumblr and social sciences into mainstream society. To subtly take radic al extreme beliefs out of the fringe territory and convert people to it.
