In my honest opinion, that really doesnt encourage a healthy discussion on this topic, and this tells me two things 1.) You lack the ability to take criticism into account and 2) You lack the ability to improve on your wrongdoings. In fact, considering the good that GamerGate has done in the past 5 months, I don't think calling supporters of GamerGate harassers is a good idea. Because that achieves NOTHING! All the pro-GamerGate people wanted was for game journalists to come clean and apologize for their unfortunate mess-up and collusion and have some disclosure in this case. If that happened, this would have ended in a week, two weeks maximum. But instead of doing the right thing by apologizing and realizing that everybody makes mistakes in different fields of profession, these so called "journalists" decided to twist the agenda on this movement being about "harassment and "misogyny" of women in the industry. Since when did gamers want women out of the industry so badly? In fact since when did other game developers want women out of the industry so badly? If anything, I've seen more harassment from the antis" on the opposite side of the argument than I have from the supporters of GamerGate. Given this, this ideology of GamerGate being about misogyny and harassment sounds like a load of nonsense. And the Wikipedia entry for GamerGate? No Mr Wales... No And then we go on to the antagonizing of GamerGate supporters who were put on a block list of "harassers" that was horribly coded by a meth-head and the fact that IGDA have tried implementing this same list, but decided not to because it was imperfect. Tell me, do you think putting 10,000+ people on a potential blacklist and labeling them as "harassers" is acceptable given that the creator may not have even KNOWN or MET these people in real life, much less had a conversation with them prior to making said list? Do you also think labeling a former chairman as a "harasser" is also okay?Because I don't think it is. And this is coming from someone who was on that exact same list.
