Community Page 7m I have been upset this afternoon by New World staff. I will be going elsewhere for my groceries from now on. I paid $15 at the checkout forgot to buy masks rushed off to get them and returned to pay the required $8 99 to the same checkout person meaning I had paid over $20 although it was two transactions within just over a minute between them. I thought l was entitled to a sticker but apparently was not as the transactions were separate. Personally I feel that this was extremely unfair to the extent of being ridiculous. Obviously these people do have their rules but l have been a customer there for the last four years. I am elderly and a pensioner and you would have thought I had been expecting them to fork out thousands of dollars not a paltry sticker that wouldn't have been coming out of their pockets anyway. These "people" travel around the country, and post up in shopping centers begging for money. They are all scammers, living out of hotels trying to advantage of others. Do not give them anything. Anyone know if the cops will do anything if called? Can't be legal to have a concert in the middle of a shopping center asking for handouts. While in the new Dollar Tree store the other day there was a young couple shopping there as well. They were talking as they shopped and every second word that came out of their mouths was F-- It was totally sickening.. I got tired of it so I asked to talk to the manager. He came to the checkout and I mentioned it to him saying that is not acceptable and shoppers should not have to listen to that while in his store. His response was " ill go talk to him after I check a few people through “ (there was a cashier already working there.. even though there was a line up I still feel he should have dealt with it right away. ) I dont know if he ever did say anything as I just left the store disgusted, and probably will not shop there again. Why did he not act right away ? Why do these young people feel they need to use such language anyways never mind when in public where there are many people within ear shot. Using that word once in a while isnt too bad but I am not exaggerating when I say every second word. Not acceptable in my books ! and 51 others 62 Comments
