Have you ever volunteered to give up your garage space for all of the landscaping materials and equipment that other owners did? 5. Have you ever pulled your " own" weeds? 6. Do you help or show up at any annual picnics or neighborly get togethers? If, NOT! Why?????? We've lived here 16&1/2 years. I can honestly say that I don't think I would recognize you if you stood in front of me. All I really know about you is .. you COMPLAIN! A LOT! We have made lasting friendships with people at residents), do all we can to keep costs down by taking care of the grounds.. And, we do this out of the goodness of people's desire to help without asking for compensation. There are individuals (I mean, friends) who I'm sure , you see nearly daily, breaking their backs doing their best to keep Many of which , including us ( we are part time looking as beautiful as possible. I'm curious? While you are sitting in your condo, and you see these neighbors and " friends" (as you call them,) do you run out there and offer any help or even a bottle of cold water, bug spray or most of al| "A THANK YOU"? No! Of course NOT! Let me tell you what I've learned in the 16&1/2 years we've been here. My husband has been on many committees, we have ALWAYS PULLED OUR OWN WEEDS AND OTHER NEIGHBORS, too. We volunteer, and we do anything we can to help others who do WAY MORE THAN US! We APPRECIATE AND ARE VERY THANKFUL FOR THEIR WILLINGNESS , PRIDE AND COMMITMENT THEY UNSELFISHLY GIVE TO OUR COMMUNITY. THEY AREN'T LOOKING FOR ANY "PATS ON THE BACK OR COMPENSATION. " Then, there are people like you( who do very little or nothing) to contribute in a positive way, whatsoever, other than COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!!!! Since you brought up trying to save money(, so dues don't get any higher) Have you ever considered, that because of all the residents who (" pull your weeds" and everything else) ARE saving money by not hiring outside sources? Do you ever wonder why SO MANY UNSELFISH May be adversely offended by "your 1/48th NEIGHBORS HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO opinion? All I read and heard you talk about was "I, ME"!!!!Maybe? You're the minority? Maybe, not? But, I think the obvious question is. if you're so unhappy, MOVE? LAKES... “My baby stained the couch but there was no physical damage!” | /r/FuckYouKaren

Looking for advice. We lived in a temporary furnished apartment for 3months. My daughter scribbled on the leather sofa cushion with a temporary marker. The stains did not go with us cleaning it. Now the rental company is charging us for replacing the couch saying we damaged it. I need advice given two points: 1. It feels unfair since there was no physical damage to the couch. 2. They did offer for us to take the couch but gave us a notice of literally half a day to pick it up tomorrow at our own expense or they will dispose it. Is this okay for us to accept? Is there anything we can do at it point with such short notice? We do have renters insurance but not sure if this will be taken care of. *Edit. This was a genuine question being new to this country/culture and never having experienced this before. The judgemental remarks and reactions have been quite an eye opener!*
