Im not reading 5 pages of posts, but this is a simple matter, so ill explain and end the discussion If you watch my streams with adblock enabled, you have made an active decision to steal from me. On YouTube i get paid for your view; on Twitch, i do NOT get paid unless you watch the ads. I put out a product (i.e. the stream) in exchange for your watching of the ad on that stream. If you deliberately use technology to bypass the portion of that transaction that allows me to do this for a living, you are a thief. Its the same as walking into a restaurant, eating a full meal, then walking out without paying the bill. And i can tell you now that a LOT of people are doing it, because for the amount of views my streams have gotten so far, ive earned less than half of what i make on youtube HATE Joined: Oct 2010 Reputation: 408 Now lets Be honest here: i cant effectively enforce a no ad-blocker policy since theres absolutely no way for me to know youre using one unless you tell me. But if you can believe it, some idiots have been blatantly announcing that they are and have tried to tell other viewers to do so while ive been running ads. In this case, ive banned the small number of people whove admitted to stealing from me and tried to convince others to do so. So theres no drama to be had here, its cut and dry: if you steal from me and admit it and/or you try to convince others to do the same, youll be banned. Period One last thing: the mentality that "im already paying you with my view" does not apply to Twitch; it doesnt work like youtube. Last time i checked, movies dont forgo charging you to see them just because you graced them with your desire to watch them; thats a ridiculous notion. Twitch tv content is the same thing.
