The Rats in the Walls
![For being such a popular story, there is a depressing lack of art out there for it.
These rats seem to me to be more like civilised Skaven than the devolved, cannibalistic inbred humans as described in the original story.
Artist's Description:
“My searchlight expired, but still I ran. I heard voices, and yowls, and echoes, but above all there gently rose that impious, insidious scurrying, gently rising, rising as a stiff bloated corpse gently rises above an oily river that flowsunder endless onyx bridges to a black putrid sea. Something bumped into me - something soft and plump. It must have been the rats; the viscous, gelatinous, ravenous army that feast on the dead and the living...” - The Rats In The Walls - H.P Lovecraft 1923

As part of my thesis 'Illustrating Literary Works' It would be very awesome if you guys could provide me with some feed back as to what you think about the illustration and if have indeed managed to capture the feel and environment of the story... also any suggestions and constructive criticism is very welcome :) thanks!](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/001/882/831/450.jpg)

Hound of Tindalos
![Artist's description:
Well, well Hound of Tindalos is one of my most unique takes on Cthulhu Mythos entities. These weird monsters are often portrayed looking like weird, reptilian dogs with long blood sucking tongues. I find this depiction quite unfavorable (Even if those creatures themselves are quite fun). Hound of Tindalos is supposed to look completely different.
First and foremost these creatures live in a different dimension from ours, dimension apparently consisting completely of angles. Also to invade our reality they can only use angled surfaces. Therefore my "hound's" body is consisting exclusively of angular structures that can be extended or retracted at will They do not bend but break at random points forming temporary joints that are shortly after absorbed back into the limb. To imagine how these limbs look and move think of some cartoony lightningslowed down. Also, the two mandible-like limbs on the head are used to open hole in our reality when the hound invades it. This time think of surgical retractors used to open the wound...
Their spiky form would naturally bring evil to the mind of the observer and their surreal movements trough constant breaking and straightening would make him think that they perhaps have no real bodies.
Anyway, this is one of the designs I am most proud of.
"Beyond life there are'—his face grew ashen with terror—'things that I cannot distinguish. They move slowly through angles. They have no bodies, and they move slowly through outrageous angles.'"
"'All the evil in the universe was concentrated in their lean, hungry bodies. Or had they bodies? I saw them only for a moment, I cannot be certain."
"'God, they are breaking through! They are breaking through! Smoke is pouring in from the corners of the wall. Their tongues—ahhh—"'

Achtung! Cthulhu: The Green God
![A piece I did for the Aching Cthulhu - Terrors of the Secret War book

I'm not entirely sure which nation the soldier is from, as the artist didn't say.
As an educated guess, I'd say Imperial Japan, as I am unfamiliar with their helmets and the colour of the helmet is a tan-beige colour, which matches their uniforms.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/001/881/462/6e6.jpg)

Achtung!Cthulhu: Antarctic Tank Battle
![Artist's Description:
5 years ago Achtung!Cthulhu smashed kickstarter goals with an explosive campaign, and I had the fun of my life illustrating the many books that followed. Its time for A!C to move on to the digital gaming playground.

The Artist did not say what the monster attacking the Germans was, but given the setting and the creatures general appearance, I think it's probably a Shoggoth.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/001/881/460/956.jpg)
