Despite the fact of all the controversy, there is a very strong showing of metrics for Sword and Shield. An Interesting Comparison

Just an interesting comparison of Pokemon that could be catalogued by entry starting from the earliest on this site. I believe Sun and Moon is a standout due to when traffic on this site was heavier, but it still doesn't take away the impact it had on Pokemon culture seen in the metrics. Pokemon Sword and Shield put up a decent fight in having the most comments/commentary, but that was due to it being the first Switch mainline as news was trickling out about the graphics and cut features, and due to the infamous Dexit discourse. Scarlet and Violet I am dismayed by its metrics. I will give it due to it being fresh and only being a year old, and may need revisiting in say two or three years. However it seems to not have as big of an impact like the two previous entries. If it weren't for the bugs, I believe these numbers would be even less. I also attribute this to the traffic of this site not being as big as when the two previous entries were popular (from my own personal analysis over time, I could be wrong).
