Vegas Baddies BLVD Anonymous member • 6m Incoming vent... I hate to sound ungrateful but I feel like I wasted my time going to a toy drive today with my 5 kids. They wouldn't deliver the toys to us so we had to bus it down there. Each child was able to pick out 2 toys. My kids have been begging for a playstation or xbox and I figured they would have them, i mean it's Christmas. They had a bunch of dollar tree toys. My kids didn't even want what they got. I just feel like if these people would try harder more kids can get a toy they actually want. Its unfortunate that now i have to come up with the money to buy them a playstation to share. I didn't, so I just gave her whatever food I could find in my car - new and unopened snacks and bottles of peach iced tea. When I gave them to her though, she just sighed and rolled her eyes. You don't know their food sensitivities and the peach drink is probably too sweet, especially if they have tooth decay. Your attitude that a homeless person should "eat anything" you can scrounge up, but a middle class person can choose, is horrendous. Do better. I am on the hunt for a FREE venue for our monthly book club but we have a number of requirements... - hot and cold soft drinks/ alcohol available for our members to purchase - private room that can fit up to 30 people (we avg at around 20 but this month we had 27) - free car park or close to one - seating in a large circle etc. ideally with tables but we are happy to arrange the room as needed/ move it back to the original when we finish - available every 4th Tuesday between 7pm and 9pm - in - it must be free as we only charge £2 to cover our fees - if food is available that's a bonus as some members will arrive early for tea or eat during book club
