3d In DIRE Search Of: AN HONEST LANDLORD!!!! Q = My family of 5 is looking for a home to rent for the next couple of years until we can buy. Please read! I know it's long but my family is desperate. We need a HOME that we can be comfortable in. Where the plumbing works and we're not harassed by the landlord. I know there are good landlords out there, we are DESPERATE. A landlord that will: accept my daughters service dog (she's a medium sized mutt, non aggressive, is leash, harness and kennel trained. We also have a small cat. She is also kennel trained. These 2 animals are rarely left alone and when they are, they are kenneled. These two animals have been my two daughters lifelines since we moved 3000 miles away to TN 2 years ago. They are flea and tick treated monthly. They have their nails cut monthly. We are EXTREMELY RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERS. We are willing to pay pet deposits if required. A landlord that will allow a chicken coop & a garden: My two teenage daughters homeschool. They have raised these chickens since they were eggs, and a lot of their schooling revolves around the care and upkeep of their chickens. We also use them as a method to make some extra income selling their eggs. We have a very large garden every year, to help feed the family, others and to sell at farmers markets. If we could find a place that would allow a couple goats and mini highland cows that would be an added bonus, as that was the plan here where we ended up. A landlord that if there are issues are willing to fix those issues. Or will allow us to help in fixing any issues. We've A landlord that if there are issues are willing to fix those issues. A landlord that won't base our worth by our credit score. We don't have a 600 credit score. (Our son that will be living with us does). We have bills that have went to the wayside in this economy because we prioritize our rent and utilities first. But we're working on it. We don't party. We don't smoke. My son and husband work all but 4 days a month. And me and my two daughters stay home and tend to the garden and animals and schooling. We're currently paying over $2300 a month for rent and we're drowning. That with the stress of the house falling down around us, and the constant verbal abuse from the landlord we'd love to find a house that is cheaper and of course that is fully functioning. We're looking for a 3-4 bedroom home. Ideally with 2 baths but we can work with 1 bath. My husband has some medical issues so a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor of the house would be ideal. If we could find someone selling that would be willing to rent it for 2 years and then we buy it, would be amazing, so we'd have one less move to make when the time comes to buy. We would love to be within 30 minutes of Lewisburg, which is where both my husband and son work. I'd love to explain more in detail about what we're currently going through in our current rental face to face if requested. We have kept all records and receipts of the happenings the past 2 years. We had enormous trouble even finding an available rental when we moved here in 2022. We've been treated pretty poorly because we're what y'all are calling "transplants". So I'd like to say.....We came here to live with like minded individuals. We came here for the southern hospitality. To receive and to give it back ten fold because that is how our family lives. We are not here to change anything, or to talk about how it was back where we lived etc etc. We're desperately searching for HOME. Pic is of Christmas 2023. So my post doesn't get lost.
