![My (25M) girlfriend (24F) of 2 years doesn't want to get rid of a bedbug infestation. PowerfulCitron 17 hours ago relationship_advice 96% upvoted We just signed a lease last month to start living together in a new place. Well, we had a housewarming party that got a bit bigger than we expected, with some friends of friends we didn't know showing up. More than 20 people in total. We suspect the bedbugs came from someone at the party. We've had them for more than a week now. My girlfriend refuses to cooperate in getting rid of them. Because she doesn't believe it's okay to do so. l'd always known she was a very compassionate person and truly views all living things as precious and important, volunteers for a few humanitarian causes like animal shelters and loves nature. But I didn't know it went this far, that eradicating pests like this is wrong. This is very extreme to me. Meanwhile, we are getting eaten alive every night and they just keep multiplying. I'm out of patience, I've asked her many times how she can stand living with this, she just says it's "annoying" but she couldn't bring herself to intentionally kill anything. Even f------ bedbug. a Today I decided I was done with this b-------. I called an exterminator and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow. When I told her, she flipped. I said I didn't care what she thought, she could help me pack up everything to prepare or not but it was happening. Then once I went to work, she cancelled it behind my back! She texted me to tell me. She said she doesn't want to fight with me, that we should be able to "live in harmony with each other and other creatures"!!! She also said she's really stressed due to our disagreement about it, but I'm stressed from having the bedbugs! Now I'm about to go home to our infested apartment and confront her. Please help. I feel like my life has turned into some realm of insanity. How do I make her understand that the pest control needs to happen?? TL;DR: My girlfriend sabotaged my efforts to exterminate bedbugs in our home because she strictly believes it's wrong to kill them. I don't know how to make her stop or compromise.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/001/557/154/aa4.png)

![Help] My girlfriend is refusing to talk me because I pretended to be dead after our car accident ohmanohnohman 2 days ago* relationship_advice 36% upvoted Late last week, my girlfriend and I were on our way back from dinner with her parents. She was driving. Pulling away from a stoplight, the two cars next to us slammed on their brakes but she didn't in time. We got hit by a drunk driver going 15 over the speed limit, right on my side. The impact was brutal but I knew right away that I was fine, we were in her 2018 BMW X6 I have no idea what made me do this- maybe it was the shock from the crash and having my entire world rocked in a flash of a second, but I decided to hang my mouth open and contort myself against the intruding door. When my girlfriend looked over, she was horrified and screamed nonstop for what felt like an hour. After a minute or so I snapped out of it and said "gotcha!" She instantly broke down and was inconsolable. After we were both given the all-clear from the hospital a few hours later, she refused to talk to me. It's been days now and she still won't speak to me. I know it was weird. I have no idea what made me do it. I wouldn't have ever done it normally. How can I salvage this?](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/001/557/149/24d.png)

![Posted by u/GreenLeaves13904 hours ago My (27f) bf (34m) wants to name our daughter Frodo [new] Hi Reddit My bf and I have been dating for a little over 2 years. My boyfriend is sweet, smart, attractive and funny. We almost never argued (until recently), because he daughter Frodo (after the Lord of the Rings character). When wants to name our we first found out that I was pregnant, I promised that he could name our child. I wanted him to feel important and included in the pregnancy. He's a great guy and I know that he will be an amazing father too. That said, he started saying that if we have a son, we will name him Frodo. I thought he was joking because he didn't seem that serious. When we found out we were having a girl, he said that he thought Frodo would still be a good name. I still thought he was joining until people started asking if we "had a name yet." My bf would tell people that we were naming our daughter Frodo. Eventually I confronted my bf and told him to stop, that my parents had asked if he was serious. My boyfriend got mad. He asked why I agreed to the joking, but he got name if I didn't want it. I tried to tell him I thought he was more mad. We've been arguing almost nonstop for the past 2 weeks and he is now threatening that he won't be able to bond with our daughter because her new name will always remind him of his disappointment at her not being named Frodo. I don't know what to do. We are great together and I don't want to break up over this. We are great together otherwise, except for this issue. Likewise, I DID promise that he could name our child. I suggested he could choose a different name from Lord if the Rings, but he is adamant that our daughter must be named Frodo. I just don't want her getting teased or discriminated against because I think the name sounds silly, and not even like a girls name. I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions on how to handle this? Should I let my bf name our daughter Frodo? Thanks in advance TL;DR: Promised bf he could name our daughter, he chose the name "Frodo" from Lord of the Rings. ![r/relationships [new] Boyfriend's disturbing lack of dental hygiene u/JDahmer13 tdr my boyfriend's teeth are literally starting to rot out of his head and I dont want to be rude about it So my boyfriend (42M) and I (23F) have been dating for almost three years now, and this hasn't become a problem up until recently. When we first met I knew he didn't have the greatest teeth but I figured "hey what the hell, personality is what counts, right?" And some people really do just get the s--- and of the stick as far as genetics is concerned. BUT I've slowly come to realize that this dental issues have nothing to do with genetics, and everything to do with the fact that he's been neglecting his dental hygiene for literally probably DECADES. Now, the little cavities he had when we first met have morphed into giant black craters, there's crumbs that've been stuck in his front teeth for months and have begun to solidify and his breath sort of smells like... rotting flesh? Not to mention his rotting molars are obviously causing him pain when he eats. I leaned in to kiss him before going to work today and gagged because it was so bad. I've tried being subtle, like buying us matching toothbrushes and buying two separate bottles of mouthwash and it doesn't really seem to be sinking in. I honestly can't tell if he just isn't aware of the stench emanating from his mouth or just doesn't care? I have no idea how to deal with this-with other things I have no problem being direct and upfront with him but I dont want to completely annihilate his self esteem either.
