GRRM even said that he isn't as good as them when it comes to screenplay writing. Tell me the name of another writer who is "capable", and I will explain why they would have been way worse than D&D. Gods, I've never been so happy about an inevitable bad ending. The GoT fanbase is so dumb and toxic that I'm glad S1-S6 is ruined for them. Even S8 is better than they deserve. Should have been other writers because then it would have been worse. But thankfully the show is ruined for the toxic fanbase. The only bad thing to come out of this is that no other writers will ever even dare to write a show similar to GoT anymore. They'd rather play it safe, similar to Marvel, so don't ever expect to see a show like GoT ever again.
