A video creator has content on Youtube EFF Updated: December 2020 Navigating Youtube's Content ID Youtube may flag content ID right away, like Youtube may flag content ID after considerable time, Ilike when updating its database of files submitted by rightsholders when a video is uploaded when updating its algorithm Content ID claim is filed Video is restored Video gets a Content ID claim Whatever penalty that was applied by Content ID is removed. This happens on mere seconds of the video, and on material the video creator has the right to use. Video is blocked, monetized, or tracked blocked: the public cannot see the video monetized by the rightsholder: the video has ads placed on it, or the rightsholder claims revenue from the ads already on the video A blocked video may go back up tracked: viewership statistics are shared with the rightsholder It is a mystery as to why. Video creator responds During a dispute, a video is under constraints Video creator will either if blocked: video remains blocked The content owner is given 30 days to respond.
