Anyone that can read human body language can tell this was real. Why would I also burn up a RENTAL van with all of our stuff inside? My shoes, headphones, sunglasses, sentimental Polaroid photos, tools, spare wheels and tires, and cameraman's gear also burnt. Sure I make money destroying things, but I don't lie. Not everything is a conspiracy. 2: "You should've kept driving to the road and you would've been fine" Ok this one's funny. Yeah I'm just gonna keep driving an entire mile back to the road and set the entire field on fire 3: "This is going to get somebody killed" Do I need to inform you how often vehicles catch on fire? Lr... Burning vehicles are hardly dangerous and anyone with first hand experience knows this. As you can see from the video there were no large explosions and gas tanks don't explode like you think they do. Wildfires? Sure wildfires are very dangerous. Hence the reason the fire department was immediately called and we focused on the field instead of the cars. 4: People being upset that I'm laughing while a new Ferrari is burning. Do you realize how much money is wasted every single day? Actually that's irrelevant, I made the money so I can choose what to do with it. What am I gonna do stand there and cry? Be all sad and depressed like the majority of people would be? No. That attitude is the reason I have a $400,000 car (bought another) in the first place. TechPriestPratt ● 3 days ago I'm surprised they did not see this coming. If you are driving low slung vehicles through a field of dried out husks then I feel like this happens 10/10 times. Did they not have a little foresight? Not even to bring some fire extinguishers? I've always sort of assumed that everything was very hyped up for the camera and things were done reasonably behind the scenes. This makes me think he actually just does go out and do these things with no real thought or preparation. He must be pretty lucky, I hope it continues to work out for him. 27 ↓ Reply 1 Share

Ze Frank 1 hour ago (edited) I predict the new CEO of YouTube, Neil Mohan, will be seen as the guy that destroyed the creator economy that has built up this platform. His focus on trying to squeeze the most money out of Shorts at the expense of everything else will wind up making it almost impossible for anyone to make a living on YouTube - and the one real advantage they have as a platform in terms of their relationship with content creators - a reliable and predictable way to earn money from content - will disappear. The effect of the shift is apparent in the shape of the traffic curves - what used to be spikes followed by a slow decline in attention are now just sharp up and down. The focus is just on what is new and as much as they pretend that Shorts (vert) and longer videos (horizontal) are separate somehow it is absurd to imagine that they aren't part of exactly the same zero sum attention economy. YouTube long ago abandoned the idea of showing content to subscribers. Subscribers is a silly vanity number at this point with almost no correlation to who is shown what. This CEO will take the platform even further from a system where you can build up a relationship with an audience, learn from them and create culture. I'll keep going on here as long as I can, but what has happened recently makes it feel like time is short for shows like mine on YouTube. Pun intended. edit: in terms of what to do about it?
