Okay, here's my first official image for Final Fantasy month. I had to begin at the beginning, right?

If you're young, you may not even remember this game, since it came out in 1987 or whatever. Simple and grinding by today's standards, but back then it was a revolution, baby.

I didn't even want to draw the dumb black belt, but i felt that i should portray the party that i used the one time i played through the game -- fighter, black belt, black mage, white mage. I never really got to try out the red mage or the thief.

The white mage was a girl.... right?

I actually did the lines for this one way back in May, before the flood disaster... and decided to finish it up since the other ones this week were giving me trouble.

Shiva is everyone's favorite esper/summon/eidolon/GF, right? Ramuhs and Carbunkles come and go, but you always have to have Shiva in a Final Fantasy game...

You probably don't recognize this character. Neither did i. This is the final boss from the Japanese Final Fantasy III -- not the one with Terra and Kefka, but the one that was never brought over to the western world.

Apparently, the main villain is a wicked mage named Zande, but when you defeat him at the end, this mysterious evil entity called "Cloud of Darkness" appears from nowhere to reveal that she was pulling his strings the entire time.

This means.... that Ultimecia wasn't the first female main villain of a Final Fantasy game, she was. And that's cool.
