This is too deep as expected from Kyoani

Her powers are based on the eastern belief that various bodily organs represented each of the five primary elements which in eastern mythology would be Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. And because of the Yin Yang belief, that Yin represents females and Yang represents males, she uses the Yin part of these said elements being a female herself, as seen on the first episode of the anime, the kidneys (when she was rubbing her sides) represents Water and the lungs (in her chest, under the breasts) represents Metal. By massaging these areas on her body, she draws the corresponding elemental energy to be used in battle THE MORE YOU KNOW
