My wife and I were eating breakfast at Denny's a few Sundays ago and the only seats available were two that faced away from the door, people who know me know that having been a MARINE, I don't do well facing away from the threat. Before I continue, let me give you a bit of background on my qualifications: 3 time rifle marksman badge, Good Conduct Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and a DD-214 that has the numbers "0311" on it, that's right, Infantry. I served from 1978 to 1982 during the Cold War and almost daily we were told to stand by for orders because things were so tense in the world but tha call never came because Russians ain no fools. So were eating breakfast when I hear the entrance door open slowly just as the waitress dropped a tray of glasses and without hesitating, I screamed "Fire In The Hole" jumped up holding the fork I was using and pressed it against the young man's throat who was entering the building, the young man froze and our eyes locked, I saw fear, he saw ice and death. I stood down, surveyed the restaurant and informed everyone that I was and always will be a UNITED STATES MARINE to which they applauded and even paid for our breakfast. The moral of the story is when you see a truck plastered with USMC gear, tread lightly because a carelss move could cost you your life. DO 23 13 Comments

On our way out of Magic Kingdom tonight, said to me "mommy, I have Tourette's and autism, what do you have" I start to ponder.. "Ummm" I said. quickly interrupted me and said "you have ATD" again... "Ummmm" he said "Addicted to Disney" I couldn't hold back my laughter.... "Why yes son, I have ATD". Anyone else have an unofficial diagnosis of ATD? O80 200 26 Comments

This one was more intense for him, he had lots of questions and was very emotional at first, but we talked through everything that was happening. We spoke of life, and death, of food, the Earth, the grass, and the big truck. We focused a good portion of time on the emotions we felt watching the animals we love die to provide food for our family. We talked about how it's wrong to ignore the deaths our diets cause. We talked about how the other foods we eat involve death, we just don't typically see them, and how it's much more human to be responsible for our actions. It was a lot for a newly 3 year old, but it was also many of the things a proper little boy might be curious about. He also listened attentively as I spoke with the abattoir about the color and quality of the fat on our grass finished cattle. Then he ran off to play in the rain while I lent the pro Q

Lol this happened to me once except it was in a strip club (one of the "classier" more expensive ones with uber hot girls btw. And backstory, l'd been doing strip club game a lot and got really good at it following old-school textbook mystery method stuff. So it wasn't a pay-for-play thing, the girl wanted me to f--- her outside of the strip club no money involved). So I denied her request, she was visibly disappointed from it. I could tell she told the other girls in the back of the place afterward because the whole rest of the night I'm getting attention from like every single girl there including the waitresses (who were actually even hotter than most of the dancers). I got a whole bunch of numbers that night and ended up dating one of the bartenders there for a while. Esp for dancers who encounter sexually desperate guys all day, showing that restraint is unbelievably powerful. It's something they never see. The moral of the story is be the 1 in 10000 guy who isn't desperate for sex and doesn't need anything, enjoys their company but is fine without it too. Reply
