TikTok celebrity Addison Rae and Jimmy Fallon are catching backlash for airing a segment in which Rae showed off eight popular TikTok dances without crediting their original creators.
Rae, on the show to promote her song "Obsessed," was criticized for doing the dances rather stiffly when the creators of the viral dance moves, many of whom are POC, almost never get these opportunities.
Jimmy Fallon and everyone @FallonTonight needs to do better. The black creators of these dances deserve better. pic.twitter.com/oZPHoBwt6X

Rae and Fallon have yet to comment on the criticism.
This is hardly the first time a TikTok dance has been introduced to the masses without credit going to the original creator. Fortnite, in particular, received backlash and lawsuits for including dances in the game without crediting the dances' creators.
In the YouTube video of the segment posted by The Tonight Show, credit was given to the creators in the blurb, reading: "Do It Again: @noahschnapp. Savage Love: @jazlynebaybee, Corvette Corvette: @yvnggprince, Laffy Taffy: @flyboyfu, Savage: @kekejanjah, Blinding Lights: @macdaddyz, Up: @theemyanicole and Fergalicious: @thegilberttwins."
