Chrissy Teigen Again Apologizes For Bullying Courtney Stodden
Chrissy Teigen, seemingly constantly on an apology tour for one reason or another these days, has again posted a lengthy apology on social media , this time for bullying socialite and media personality Courtney Stodden ten years ago.

"I know I’ve been quiet, and lord knows you don’t want to hear about me, but I want you to know I’ve been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate 'sit here and think about what you’ve done,'" wrote Teigen.
In May, Stodden told The Daily Beast that when she first entered public consciousness in 2011 for marrying 50-year-old actor Doug Hitchenson at age 16, she was the subject of widespread public ridicule in the media. She details how she was the subject of intense online bullying, including from Teigen, who she alleges, "would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, 'I can’t wait for you to die.'"
After the story broke, Teigen posted a Twitter thread apologizing for her past behavior before going silent for a month.
is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel. I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but god I will try!!

Her recent Medium post is a full-length apology in which she says she was an insecure troll at the time and deeply regrets what she said. Still, it wasn't enough for many Twitter users, who were sick of dealing with what seemed to be "Chrissy Teigen's monthly apology tour."

Complicating matters is that designer Michael Costello also accused Teigen of bullying in an Instagram post, though the story has left some people divided. Costello claims Teigen called him racist after posts circulated with Costello using the N-word. Costello claims the pictures were photoshopped, but there doesn't seem to be evidence to back that up. Singer Leona Lewis said Costello's apology didn't sit right with her, considering a negative experience she'd had with Costello in 2014.
Leona Lewis says designer Michael Costello humiliated her at a 2014 charity event:
"We all make mistakes … I feel that when people apologize (Chrissy) and show sincere remorse & rehabilitation for their actions, we should embrace them & not try and kick them when they’re down" pic.twitter.com/Wi6VC32iTe— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) June 15, 2021
Teigen has had a horrible year on social media thus far, at one point getting roasted for talking about how she was unwittingly sold a $13,000 bottle of wine and later dramatically leaving Twitter after calling it a "source of negativity" in her life. After her brief hiatus, she was almost immediately wrapped up in the Stodden bullying scandal.
